Care and maintenance of tiles
1. If you notice cracks, gaps or crumbling grouting among the tiles, attend to it without delay. This will save time and materials in the long run!
2. Cracks in the grout tend to appear first around the bathtub, spigots, built-in soap dishes, shower doors and the shower tray. Check these places regularly.
3. To prevent or destroy mildew, spray humid or poorly ventilated tiled areas frequently with a mix of equal parts of water and bleach. Leave for a few minutes, rinse off and wipe down. Don't, though, use a bleach mixture on natural stone or marble.
4. After each use, take a minute to rinse and wipe down tiled shower room walls to remove moisture and soap residues. This prevents scale build-ups which will dull your sparkling shower.
5. Regularly use a tub and tile cleaner on the walls. A chemical-free steam cleaner that uses super-heated steam vapour alone is ideal.
